OUR MISSION

CHAMP FATHERHOOD CONSULTANTS MISSION is to provide information on various resources that promote good fatherhood practices. Through educational workshops and monthly support meetings men are provided an overview of societal views of men, resources for stability, and empowering strategies for successful parenting. We help attendees gain an understanding of the male and female gender by identifying unique traits. As a result men gain an understanding of the importance of male involvement ultimately discovering the C.H.A.M.P. in themselves.

Hello, my name is Chris Latson and I am the Founder and Executive Director of CHAMP Fatherhood Consultants, LLC a community based-program highlighting Fatherhood Best- Practices, and College & Career Readiness for youth. I have received extensive training as a Family Support Coordinator through the Georgia Training Institute and Sheltering Arms Early Education.  I am a native of Miami, Florida, and married with two daughters. My educational background consists of a degree in English/Education with a minor in Art. For the past 10 years, I have collaborated with various federal programs which promote the economic and social well-being of underserved young adults.

I have received extensive training as a Non-Profit Program Manager, certified Parent Trainer by the Center of Child Well Being, Mentor Trainer under the Mentoring Children of Prisoners a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services national program, and trained in Sexual and Domestic Abuse by Stewards of Children Prevention and Response program.

For several years, I served Metro Atlanta areas by way of the Home Builders Institute (HBI) skills training, U.S. Department of Labor Workforce and Re-Entry grant for young adults and ex-offenders as Program Manager and Pathway Coach. My experiences consist of implementation of community and school-based programs.

Currently, CHAMP Fatherhood Consultants is collaborating with the Georgia Center for Youth Excellence a community-based emergency shelter for young men ages 10-17. My goal is to assist youth who are willing to overcome obstacles by becoming better versions of themselves.
